Dr Pooja Singh
(MBBS, FRACGP)
Dr Pooja Singh has been practicing since graduating in 2008. She has worked in India and currently working in Australia. In Australia, she has completed her Fellowship from The Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP) and she has also worked at the North Canberra Hospital.
She has extensive experience in woman’s health and has a certificate in Sydney Child Health Program (SCHP) and Women’s Health and Family Planning.
Special interests: Women’s Health, Chronic Disease Management, Mental Health, Children’s Health, Diabetes, Skin Checks
Procedures: Implanon Insertion and Removal, Excision of Skin Lesions, Ingrown Toenail, Cervical Screening

Dr Nirmalie Wijesiriwardana (Dr Nimmi)
(MD, MBBS)
Dr. Nimmi has graduated with an MBBS from University of Melbourne, an MD (Doctor of Medicine) from Lvov State Medical University and a BSc in Medical Science from University of Canberra.
She is a well experienced and dedicated doctor who has been working in Canberra since 2002. Dr. Nimmi worked in the Canberra Hospital and North Canberra Hospital before joining Higgins Medical Centre.
She has strong interest in Women’s health, diabetes, chronic disease management and adult medicine
Dr Aye Phyu Win
(MBChB)
Dr Aye completed her undergraduate medical degree at the University of Manchester in the UK (2006). She began her career as a junior doctor in England before relocating to Queensland, Australia in 2009 where she worked in a number of locations as a registrar in both Emergency Medicine and Anaesthetics.
Dr Aye has a special interest in Emergency Medicine and currently works as a Career Medical Officer (CMO) at the North Canberra Emergency Department
while enjoying working part time at Higgins Medical Centre.
Dr Madhuri Velagala
(B.Sc, M.Sc, Ph.D)
Dietitian and Diabetic Educator
Dr Madhuri holds a B.Sc., M.Sc., and Ph.D. in Food and Nutritional Sciences from India. Since relocating to Australia, she has completed advanced training in a range of specialised areas, including Diabetes Management (UTS, Sydney), Sports Nutrition (SDA, Canberra), Bariatric Nutrition for Pre- and Post-Surgery (DAA), Optifast VLCD Accreditation, and Paediatric Nutrition (DAA).
With over 20 years of experience in the field of human nutrition, Dr Madhuri offers individualised medical nutrition therapy at multiple locations. She supports clients in understanding their dietary needs and making practical changes tailored to their medical conditions and personal health goals.
Dr Madhuri is deeply committed to collaborative care, working closely with clients and, when necessary, liaising with referring specialists and GPs to ensure cohesive, evidence-based support.
